Board Meeting Minutes

September 28, 2006

Meeting called to order by Miguel Euceda at 12:00

Present: Miguel Euceda, Rick Caruso, Bill Winstanley, Doug Julian, Tom Devine, and Marty McClain.

Christmas party

When: Friday December 15, 2006 (7:00-11:00 p.m.)
Where: Ramada Inn (Buckley Road)
ISA Cost: $55 per person
Tickets: $50 per couple or $25 per person

District

• January 1, 2007—ISA will not be charging members for standards.
• 2006 is the second year in a row for membership and revenue increase.
• Tom Devine is now the Chairman of the Board of District Vice Presidents (This puts him on the executive committee).
• DLC to be held December 27 & 28 in Niagara Falls, NY.
• New Board Members to receive an e-mail with a link to the duties and roles of board members.
• New standard being written (SP100) regarding wireless communications.
• ISA, OMAC, and WBF are charter members of the Automation Federation. WINA is the newest member of the automation federation.
• There is a new organization being formed for standard compliance monitoring for automation.
• Student paper competition—more information to come in next few months.

Donations to be distributed from checking account—$500. (This is a donation to the American Cancer society—we will try to tie in with Christmas Party)

Clambake

June 13, 2007:

• Possibly limiting number of discounted vendor tickets.
• Letters to vendors to go out approximately March 9, 2007 (may give extra ticket as incentive for vendors to reply by March 24, 2007).
• Suggestion has been made to limit the quantity of door prizes and also put minimum value on them.
• Doug is checking into a nonprofit credit card for receiving payment for clambake tickets or any other payments.
