General function

Edit and produce the Section newsletter.

Primary responsibilities and duties

  1. Determine the objectives of the newsletter

  3. Identify financial resources

  4.  
  5. Specify frequency of publication

  6.  
  7. Decide if newsletter will sell ad space

  8.  
  9. Recruit reporters to provide input for the newsletter: local, District, international activities; technical articles; Section officer articles; membership information, etc.

  11. Secure photographer

  12.  
  13. Set deadlines and meet them

  14.  
  15. Prepare copy

  16.  
  17. Distribute to reach member one week before a meeting or event

  18.  
  19. Evaluate newsletter and response; make improvements as needed

Interested in good Section communications; well organized; dependable; a good editor.

Method of appointment

Appointed by the Section President or in compliance with the Section constitution and bylaws.
